Dedon hanging chairs and hanging loungers
Three Dedon collections hang: the Nestrest hanging lounger, the Swingrest and the Kida hanging lounge chair. Dedon weaves them by hand like the rest of the catalog, and each one also comes in a version that stands on its own base.

Before you hang it
Hanging or standing
A hanging lounger needs a support rated for the load: a beam, a pergola or a solid branch. Ask a builder to check the point you have in mind before you order.
No beam? Nestrest and Swingrest each come as a standing lounger, and Kida sells its hanging lounge chair with its own base. Both sit on a flat patio or deck.
- Question 1 Is there a beam? Yes: hang it. No: choose a stand or a standing version.
- Question 2 One person or two? Compare seat sizes in the quote.
- Question 3 Shade or sun? Pick fiber and cushion colors for the spot.
- Question 4 Get the quote We price the lounger, base and cushions.

Questions
Hanging loungers, answered
Can a Dedon hanging lounger stay outside?
Yes. The weave is Dedon Fiber, the same outdoor fiber as the rest of the catalog. Bring cushions in during long wet spells.
Do I need a base?
Only if there is no beam or branch strong enough to hang from. Nestrest, Swingrest and Kida all have versions that stand on their own.
