About the collection
A ceramic top that stays out all year
Lorenza Bozzoli spent her early career in fashion, and Dedon brought her in for her eye for detail and her feel for craft. Porcini takes its name from the Italian word for a mushroom. Dedon makes it in three side table sizes, so you can pick the one that fits beside a lounge chair, a sofa or a daybed.
The top is Monolite Ipergres, a frost-proof ceramic that absorbs no water and stands up to knocks, scratches and abrasion. Ceramic tops like this are made by hand, so the surface varies a little from one table to the next. You pick the finish from alba, bosco, Marrone and Carrara, and each table ends up slightly different from its neighbor.
Care takes a soft cloth and warm water. Do not cover a Porcini table over the winter; leave it open so air can move around it. Dedon shows Porcini beside its woven collections, including Mbrace and Mu, which makes it an easy table to add to a set you already own.

Lorenza Bozzoli
Lorenza Bozzoli came to furniture from fashion design. Besides Porcini she drew Brixx and Fedro for Dedon, and her work has been shown at the Cooper-Hewitt in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
