Dedon Kida is the Dedon outdoor furniture collection built around a swing. Stephen Burks shaped the hanging chair like an open cradle and wrapped it in 834 meters of soft Dedon Fiber Touch.

About the collection
A cradle wrapped in fiber
Kida was the first Dedon collection wrapped in fiber instead of woven. Craftspeople wind 834 meters of Dedon Fiber Touch around the frame of the hanging chair. The result is an open, cradle-like form that looks light from every side, and Burks says it makes you feel as free as the breeze when you swing.
Inside, a cushion covers the whole seat and a fixed head cushion sits where you lean back. The frame is powder-coated aluminum shaped in organic curves, light but sturdy. You can hang the chair from your own support or order the version that comes with its own base.
Dedon grew Kida beyond the swing with an armchair, a lounge chair and a footstool. They come in three striped colorways: Glow Touch with its mix of bright colors, Shade Touch and Line Touch. Cushions come in fabric families such as Natura, Caleo, Tucson, Gaia, Muse, Nube and Borneo.
Dedon Fiber is made in northern Germany and resists chlorine, salt water and UV. Hang a Kida chair on a covered porch, under a pergola by the pool or on a coastal deck. Clean it with a soft brush, warm water and a mild cleanser.
