About the collection
A table for the whole group
Hoss designed Solyd as the center of a gathering. The top is generous, so it works as a dining table, a place to work outside or the spot where people end up after the meal. He wanted a piece that lasts and collects stories over the years.
The table is teak. Its smooth grain plays against woven chairs, and Dedon suggests pairing it with any of its woven dining chairs. Teak holds natural oils and tannins that help it stand up to rain, strong sun, frost and swings in temperature, which makes it a good wood to leave outdoors.
Left in the weather, teak turns from gold to a soft silver-gray, sometimes unevenly at first. If you want to keep the golden tone, clean the table with Dedon care products once or twice a year and apply Dedon Teak Color Protector at least twice a year. A light sanding now and then smooths raised grain.
