Dedon Dala is Dedon patio furniture made of round, light pieces you can carry from spot to spot. Stephen Burks drew on the improvised seating and handwork he saw in the developing world.

About the collection
Fiber threaded through a metal grid
Each Dala piece starts as a frame of expanded aluminum mesh with a powder coating. Dedon's weavers then thread strands of Dedon Fiber through the grid, so the frame and the woven surface become one. The weaving method is distinctive enough that Dedon holds a patent on it.
The shapes are circular and relaxed. You can choose a lounge chair, a loveseat, a footstool, a stool, a side table and a coffee table. Because the pieces are light, you can pull a stool over for a guest or move a chair into the shade without calling for help.
Burks developed the color range with colorist Giulio Ridolfo, mixing Dedon's signature tones into new blends. The current colors are Rioja, Ubud, Cuba, Ibiza and Bahamas, and every color is offered across the whole Dala range. Cushions come in Dedon fabric families such as Natura, Caleo, Tucson, Gaia, Muse, Nube and Borneo.
Dedon Fiber is made in the company's own plant in northern Germany and resists chlorine, salt water and sun. A Dala set works on a pool deck, a porch or a small balcony. Clean it with a soft brush, warm water and a mild cleanser, and keep solvents away from the fiber.
